The one I use is called "Kwik Stop". -Kathy
It's good stuff... :) I don't like the cornstarch/flour bit, but it's usually what everyone has on hand...
THANK YOU ALL sooo much. I've met my thumbs up limit today so I'm sending happy :hugs hugs:D and a :thumbsup for all of you. I didn't use a lot of flour/cornstarch/styptic so there is no caking. I have dabbed it with some Betadine. He's resting well now so I don't want to disturb him anymore. I am definitely going to keep him separated and on clean towels.
:thumbsup Glad he's resting... and kudos to you for fighting for him... :)

You got great advice and did beautifully. All these folks around here have saved many duckling lives!! He's a beauty.

Such a precious baby, prayers he does great and after a nice recoup is up running with the rest.
Thank you. 5 others didn't make it

Mine is called MediStyp Styptic Powder. I can never find it when I need it for the dogs nails so I usually cake them up with cornstarch, lol.

I don't think this guy was supposed to make it. He was on day 30 and had pipped but no zip. I couldn't just leave him in there. I might be fighting for the little guy awhile.

Thank you. He's holding his head up more and just stretched his leg out behind him. Sooooo cute

@Miss Lydia
@Amiga

Or anyone with experience with angel wing... I need some advice, please... I think Io is developing angel wing... I've never had to deal with it in any of my ducks, so want to make sure and check about wrapping it... not sure if I should wait a bit before wrapping or do it now...

These pics were taken just now as soon as I noticed it...

This pic I took just last night and didn't even see the bit of the wingtip sticking out until I pulled up the pics I took tonight...

Any advice is appreciated and confirmation that this is angel wing?? Thank you...

This Poly Vi Sol has stunk up my whole house, lol.
That is some nasty stuff I would much rather use something made for poultry that doesn't taste bad. And poultry nutri drench can be given straight and it goes right into the blood stream doesn't have to go via intestines. So they utilize it faster.
So glad to hear he is holding his head up more.

Thank you. She's doing really well now. I think Momma panicked
