Ok! Thanks. Do they get bigger more blue/darkish veins towards the end? Or is that waste material? We were seeing that at the bottom of the eggs last week. I couldn't find much on it.

Those are blood veins I believe. That's why it's so important if you have to help the duckling or chick out of the shell not to break the membrane.

We got two like that last year only 20g white only.



Tevye, our non-dominant drake, was hiding from Kaine, our dominant drake, at night in the nesting boxes at the time, so we blamed him for the little eggs and acknowledged that they were a very good attempt for a drake

But I like chicken dinner lol. There's too much fighting going on, and we live in town (sort of) so we can't keep anything that crows. If neighbors start complaining for noise, my whole flock could be in jeopardy :/

This is Eggos. I'm pretty sure she is a Pekin, despitetc being in a tub full of runners at the feed store. And I'm fairly positive she is female, so yay, I have a Pekin again

I would agree. Pekins have a very high looking bill when they are young and they grow into it. I see that here.

I knowwwwwws, I'm so excited! I knew as soon as I saw her that she was no runnder, lol. I've really missed having a Pekin, and I know I shouldn't get my hopesup because every duck is different. I know Eggos won't be anther Waffles, but I'm hoping she will have the pekin pluck and personality that I'm missing.

That could be a possibility if we have a really REALLY nice roo that we want to keep. Otherwise, the plan is to butcher the males. We wanted to have some fresh chicken that we knew was raised properly and humanely.

They're just the best. My old Pekin was so sassy and bold. She would talk back to us whenever we spoke, and she was sooooo loud lol. But I loved it. She was the funniest, always giving me a good chuckle.
