Hello! Our two Welsh Harlequins - 6 weeks old- are going to sleep in their new outside duck house for the first time tonight. I am so nervous and worried about it! We are in SC and the temps are fine- in the 70's. They have been on our screened porch since two weeks old; before that, they were in a container in our den from 3 days old. My husband who is a builder built the house very securely with heavy gauge wire so I do think it is safe. We also have a fence around our yard, but I know a nearby neighbor has lost two chicks and a big chicken lately...although those were out in her yard. Question is, what can I do to make our ducks more comfortable and happy to become accustomed to their new pad? I am putting most of the same items from the porch into the house to try to help. Thank you!!

We had a pea party and I hung out with them for a while. There was a big unexpected storm in the middle of the night so I grabbed a binky and stayed with them for a while
