I thought there was a difference and there is I don't know if mine are French muscovies but they have the black dots on the front of the face and are fully white everywhere else so i am pretty sure they are French muscovies

Black on the head does not make them FWM. Ours are both solid white and white all over with black on their head. Its the breeding that makes them FWM.

Standard variety scovy can pop out what seems like s never ending set of colors.

thanks, she is beautiful (not the smartest duck in the flock, but she is learning)--I was shocked at her coloring wondering what genetics played a part in her--recessive genes?? I am going to whittle down my duck flock however, I would like to get rid of my pekin male and female and possibly my rouen male and khaki female.

But rouen's are gorgeous I have all ways wanted one but I keep getting Muscovies I just can't find any breeders around my local area.

I still love my scovy's they are beautiful and everything but I also love rouen's
