Do y'all know when pekins start laying and how old they should be for processing?

Laying should be at about 20-24 wks and processing should be much earlier, depending on when feathers are coming in. I'd say 9-12 wks.

I have runners and they lay well. According to storyes guide to raising ducks I think it says they are one of the better layers.

Khaki Campbell, Runner, and Welsh Harlequin are the ones I know of that are said to lay really well. Out of my three Welsh Harlequin hens, I sometimes get 4 eggs(though usually it's 2 or 3).

The hybrids made specifically for laying are probably the best layers.

So one of my runners broke the nail on her back little toe today. It bleed a little but my question is how do I keep it from getting infected?
