Can you believe my ducks are out in this! They are acting like it summer!

Well we are enjoying our nice 68* day before it turns cold again. Just saw the forecast for this weekend, oh joy freezing rain! Texas is so crazy 70 one day and 44 the next.

We're to have minus 0 wind chills next couple days. thank goodness for heated buckets. Your babies are so adorable.

Those lil duckies are sure cuties! They are runners right?
Someone told me that Runners don't fly...is that true?
I don't have runners, have 3 Khaki Cambells and a Black Swedish and they fly short distances. First time one of them took off and flew it panicked...couldn't figure out why it was in the air and how to get down! Lol it crash landed on top of the chicken coop. Then sat there and cussed me for coming to rescue her!

Thank you. 2 are runners, the blue and the fawn and white in the middle. The others are a welsh Harliquin and and white layer. The runners don't fly and the other 2 shouldn't either. My pekins dreamed of flying but they jumped higher than they could "fly". I can imagine being cussed at by a duck! Lol, mine sound like a bunch of bitties cackling about everyone else business.

My female Pekin duck just started laying fertile eggs, and its winter luckily so they cant hatch. In the summer though, should I let her hatch the eggs or if I should maybe get an incubator for them? (this is my first time with fertile eggs) and these are my first flock of ducks so I'm still learning from them.
