Quote: If you do have doubles this time, I suggest that you have someone there to witness it. I suspect many people in the poultry industry would be quite interested.

So we just started getting eggs last week (17 weeks old) 1 confirmed chicken, 1 unidentified chicken (1 of our 2 EE since it was a green egg) and an unidentified duck. This morning when I went to let them out and there were 2 duck eggs. Can anybody help me figure who's laying? We have 2 Rouen & 1 Peking.

I'm saying that the 29th is when she started to sit. It's a very close guess. I tried putting up my neighbors trailcam, she stayed off the nest all day... Cam down. How do I document?? I have made sure to do exactly what I did last time, nothing. I candled 1 egg this morning. Momma rolled eggs out that were no good last time, I figured she'd do the same this time. Do you think if I tried a cam again closer to hatch she might not object?

A remote camera attached to a DVR that you could hide from her sight would be cool! Lol
Do you open alot of her eggs and find doubles also? I mean, when she isn't broody...
