I saw so much of this garbage on the internet. The only animals on this planet dumb enough to look at the sun also wear clothes and talk on cell phones. The rest know it's a bad idea and has been for their whole evolutionary cycle.
I did test this for science though. The dogs didn't care, the rabbits didn't care, and the chickens seemed to enjoy the filtered light as it made it slightly cooler for an hour or so.
There was heavy cloud cover, and little chance of seeing the eclipse. (only around 70 % here) I was shaving and looked out the window just as the clouds broke a bit. I yelled for the Princess and we rushed out to the deck. We saw it through the filtered clouds.
