jonbanks, i appreciate your prior post. Thank you. Having grown up deathly poor as a child, I know from experience that it is not life threatening and can in fact be quite fun! Yeah, sometimes my ribs stuck out a little and sometimes we were a little short of adult supervision, but I wouldn't trade it for a life spent in front of a tv and game set locked indoors for anything

Afraid there will be alot more involved then big expensive toys and smaller houses .
People will lose jobs , homes , everything they have worked hard to accomplish . No power , lights , water , food , medicine , and the list goes on and on . People , its time to wake up.

Liz we are all wide awake!! We started with no electric, water, gas, cars. There are already and have been for years people having to do with out there meds. medical care..that is nothing new. I packed in water from a well to bath, cook, drink, ect. We heated the house with wood that I split myself. Put up blankets to keep the living rm warm..used an out house and lived with out television, and look me and my family survived. We are strong and very knowledgeable how to survive when we need to be. You know what else, living the way we did..my family knew each other. We sat at the table together to eat our soup beans and corn bread or to eat our oats for breakfast. We didn't need technology to keep us happy. We were healthy and we were happy. We had God and still do. Maybe this is all what we all need to get back to the basics of life. I am very much awake!! We will all be alright!!! DJ

I absolutely will not live my life fearing what could happen. I choose instead to look at how great my life is, and focus on the good. That doesn't mean I don't conserve and prepare, but I won't let it consume me. Of course I nearly died, so I have a different outlook on life than maybe some have.

Your posts are very refreshing! Thank you for your optimism, we could all use a big dose of that. I second this statement.... We will all be alright! Maybe this situation will force us to work together (like they did when our Grandparents were young) instead of against each other.

you are so right!! Fear to me is a weakness in your faith. I am so happy you are here. In 2 years we lost our Mom, my sister lost her son 23, my other sister lost her daughter 19 with child, my Dad lost 2 brothers to cancer{11 months apart} we lost 2 cousins in a house fire age 6 and 18. our aunt to cancer, and a brother n law. We all made it through it together. Not in fear but with the Faith in our Lord. Being so close to death gives you another out look on life. Life is Great ..Life is what you make of it!! DJ
