It's funny because when she was a chick she didn't have a crest at all! She just had a black dot on her head. And then when she was about a month old she started getting a crest where the black dot had been!

I can't think of a good name that fits him. His brother's name is "Chickadee" and he is really sweet, he is my lap chicken! lol But Amber is just kinda stand offish. Any name ideas?

I suppose I have to accept the opinion of those on BYC who claim that my three feed store Ameracanas are EEs. I have to adjust my thinking. The feathers are really beautiful in color and changing shape and scale. Lovely green legs, too.

gingerpeach your EE looks like my Munk! Here are some updated pictures snapped today. She is 13 weeks this Wednesday(ish)

Here she is with her sister Joon

She is AWESOME! She is a follower and is glued to Joon's side. Whatever Joon does, Munk does. She is also very much a one person chicken. Nobody can pet or hold her except for me, and even then she needs to want it or I am out of luck. She can fly up to my shoulder, and has done it a few times in the past. Her personality is so different from Joon, but it is wonderful.

Munk is great & really does look like my chicken. Aren't they cute together, lounging on a soft cushion!

i have 6 that look like munk. (wish they had sent me a little variety, but that's ok, i think they look like little lions). and then, i have 1 that we all call hawk, not just because she looks like a red tail but because she acts like one too. i think she is one of the prettiest ee's i've seen yet, at least in this color scheme (it's a thumb so you can click it). she is just over 2 months old.
