The EE braggers thread!!!

That tail is a dead giveaway that she isn't Araucana....but her coloring so far is saying girl

I agree, looks like you will get your wish for eggs. EE female with that coloring.

However, no guarantee on color - some hatcheries have lost the blue egg gene. Here's hoping yours has it..

Me too!

If they aren't girls, I will be one mad customer! They were all supposed to be pullets, and to get both the breed and gender wrong is just....wrong lol.

Unfortunately the breed is what they were told it was from the Hatchery - not really their fault. If anything it is the Hatcheries fault for still calling their mixed up breeds "Auracana" "Ameraucana" or Americanas instead of Easter Eggers (which describe what they lay, because they are not a breed). It looks like they got the gender right.

I always kind of thought it was dumb that the hatcheries dont just change the name. I dont see why they dont just change, I mean it is not that hard. It isnt really a big deal, but ever time i see americana (easter egger) or americana the easter egg chicken, It bugs the crap out of me. It cant be both!

Why try to sell something to someone and not really give them what they thought theu were buying. O well maybe sometime (probably a long time lol) they will change it.

Thanks I even have some NN w/ beards, they look so cute like a mennanite chicken or elvis impersonator or something.

This one reminds me of Elvis w/ big huge mutton chops

I just smile when I see her little attempt at a beard, like a teen who can't quite get the facial hair he wants. lol

Those peeps are so adorable! I really like the extreme puffiness of the beard and muffs on that white one, Kassaundra. I've got some that are about 10 days old and it looks like that batch is going to have some interesting adult plumage. My previous hatch had a lot of black but these are wild looking!
