The EE braggers thread!!!

I have a splash marans and all his off springs are blue. Bred him to hertiage rhode island reds , all chicks blue in color. Bred the black giants all chicks blue. Any barnyard hens bred to him the chicks are blue
Me too, I bred a Splash Maran roo over all my girls. 100% blue babies. Some where pale color others a dark grey.

You can see the 4 Blue hens I ended up with including a 2 blue hen with orange heads. The splash was a blue cooper x blue copper. I no long bred Marans just EE & OE

My blue roo I kept from the splash maran roo over blue EE. Clean legs, bread and slate legs. Very friendly unlike his dad. That Splash was the meanest rooster I have ever seen!

Love em!

Question: I have a white EE 8 weeks pecking on the other two EE, different colors. She does not bother the other chik breeds in the coop. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

I believe about 8 weeks old is when they establish their pecking order. That one appears to be establishing dominance over the other birds, maybe it is already dominant over the other breeds and is just trying to be boss of the other EEs? Do the other EEs fight back?

Let it peck on them until they run away. If it continues to peck and chase the ones running away - then you may want to do time out, and decide if you want to keep a probable rooster...
