Some people just don't get it..
Chicken TV is great, chick TV (not human) is better, but broody and chick TV is the BEST!
I think he has no clue how dangerous that is, because .. well, you have to keep that one -and then there might be another one, or two - and I noticed you already say "I WAS hatching them for a guy I work with"..which means he might not get any

I had a solid brown one with a red/brown head - it turned into a white based rooster. Its amazing how the colors change on EEs. I don't have any good pictures of him when he was a baby, but when he got his juvenile feathers in they were black and white, so check the wing feathers on yours for barring. He was another of the dreaded black and white turned into a rooster chicks. The chick down shows what the color base is, and I think the solid brown is eb based.

I was going to attach pictures, but apparently my connection times out at 1000 milliseconds (satellite will do that) and so I can't upload anything. Oh well.

Some ppl really don't get it! I'm being called the crazy chicken lady already....... My hubby just shakes his head, he really does indulge me, I'm already looking at a new coop for a bachelor pad and haven't completely finished the first yet!!
Next year, broody and chick TV is my goal!!

Yep.... But at around 40 my DH doesn't really know How many are out there. I can always sneak in a few more. I 'm saving more green eggs and have a friend saving me Silkie eggs. I told my daughter last night if we are keeping them that long we will get a idea of what color they will be. Oh and I have 6 ten week old chicks with their broody as well. I need to get pictures of them so y'all can help me decide the gender.

My little 5 week old EEs out with their mamas. The dark one is a boy, looks like the rest are girls. The really light colored chick in back is a wheaten ameraucana girl.

We'll see how the boy turns out. Right now he's pretty sure of himself. His wheaten ameraucana father is the sweetest, friendliest rooster anyone could ask for. Hopefully this boy gets that temperament.

The fresh babies. There is 3 Silkies in there with them and a couple of Barred Rocks. One of the Silkies is about 5 weeks old.

This ones whole body is just as fuzzy as its cheeks. Super cute, but ordinary colored.

This one is the one I think I have to keep. lol I don't have one this color.
