Rubber eggs are very thin shelled eggs. I have gotten them from my hens when they first begin to lay eggs. It will be fine as her body adjusts to the whole egg laying process. At least I hope that Rumples is now laying. And I am hoping for blue eggs!

Thanks. It was like Christmas morning for me lol. Now for the other 5 EEs, 6 polish, and 3 bantams to start laying So exciting!!

I knew the name Lisa Steele was associated with Fresh Eggs Daily, and I knew that Les Farms was Canada... after reading the earlier posts, I didn't look further... anyway... love them all... great info and stunning photos... glad we straightened that out!

and my earlier post with the 2 eggs and Merry... it wasn't Merry's first egg, unless if it counts that it was her first egg after a molt and bit of a winter break. she was hatched in Dec '12 and was laying by May '12... that batch of EE's all started really early, between 18-22 weeks. my first EE's didn't start until 26-28 weeks for most, one made me wait until she was over 8 months old... the Cochins I have didn't start until 8-9 months, and I have 1 more Cochin who doesn't look ready at all yet...
