Beautiful pictures and chickens! I have a couple that look similar to your basic one, I hope they both lay green or blue eggs too.Since I'm here.. thought I'd share my breeding EE boy, Groucho. He had eyebrows when he was young, but doesn't now.. so the name doesn't make much sense
Here is my white girl. I am single breeding her to this fella:
Most of my other girls look like this one. Basic EE pattern. Only blue eggs coming from my EEs except one, who has Rock in her.
This girl lays a nice green egg.
I love the coloring on these EE's! They're such a fun breed to have, you never know what you're going to get. I guess if you hatch your own you can increase your odds maybe for particular traits.
Yeah they look a little young, but I hope you get some green and blue eggs when they start up. Looks like they are feathering in pretty well.
Pretty chickens! I'm so jealous of everyone with the black and white EE's. Oh well, maybe next time.
Yay! I have one EE squatting now two. My younger 2 EE's are 24 weeks.I got a squat today from my white EE today!! I can't wait to see what color she will lay!
The membrane is removed. May be hard to tell in the first photo, but it is.What color is the shell under the membrane? On some of my lighter blue eggs, the membrane keeps the colors from showing through.
Thank youI love you egg pics. Do you have any tips on taking pics to get the true egg color to show?
Really cool!!
