The EE braggers thread!!!

I just love all of these photos of your EEs! Such lovely colours and variety. I'm popping in with a Cobblepot update, since he's all grown up and I'm in love. ;) This roo has the best disposition. I can cuddle him up for as long as I want, and he's so squishy I can't help myself. lol He's also been wonderful with the hens (after a few growing pains). He definitely inherited his mother's beautiful temperament. I'm very partial to black birds. That iridescence is unreal. Cobblepot, his full sister Zatanna, and Ivy. Also a couple photos of a few of the ladies: Mr. Freeze Ivy The crew: All of our EE's and our two (blue and wheaten) Ameraucana hens (moulting, poor dears).
Are they from a hatchery, if so which one? I love ur rooster!!!

Oh man, I'm guessing u used b/b/s or black ameraucanas?

His mum is a little blue Ameraucana hen. She's thrown black, dark blue and what looked like a silver laced cockerel (unfortunately lost him to a predator when he was still quite young) from that pairing.

This is him shortly before we lost him.

No, I hatched our EEs from a GLW roo over our pure Ameraucana hens.

He's certainly a special guy. Unfortunately I don't think he'll be a blue egg gene carrier, as he has a cushion comb.

FYI he likely has 1 copy of the blue egg gene . It is true the blue egg gene is linked to pea comb but it can be present with any comb . Cushion comb is the combination of rose and pea . So the Ameraucana should carry 2 copies of the blue egg gene and he should have 1 copy .

Good to know! Thank you. Chicken genetics are still a little nebulous to me.

this is one of my favorite websites to use when i breed random colors together (such as making homemade easter eggers) I have four easter egger 3 of which are a little over a month old the other is getting close to laying age she is a cross between a wheaten ameraucana and a white laced gold cornish hen there is a link in my signature that takes you to a gallery of my chickens

I took some photos today and thought I would post...

She's lovely. I also really like your Wheaton roo.
