Ouch! Was it a double yolker?

I haven't checked yet to see if it's a double. Those pics were from Sunday and then yesterday I came home to these 4 eggs.

I know the big blue is my ameracauna, ( i know the spelling is probably wrong, I think I spell it different each time i type it

) I thought the brown was one of my brahma's but unless her eggs are getting darker its either her sister who has never laid for me...or ??? maybe my black star???

Then to confuse me more I was pretty sure my other EE had laid a couple pink/creme eggs but now today I have 2 green eggs. I only have two birds capable of producing green eggs so that would mean the pink/creme couldn't have come from one of them if she now laid a green egg right???? I guess they just plan on keeping me guessing so none of them go to the freezer pen! LOL!!

I'm determined to get this trail cam set up in the hen house to see who's doing what!

I'm just happy I finally have more than one girl laying!!

That egg on the left is a REALLY DARK green. Maybe concentrated color since it's so small or perhaps cuz it's the first egg. What fun!

LOL It's so funny what we will do for our girls. I think I may get one of the video baby monitors to put in their new coop when we move since I can't see it as well from the house as our current coop.

I'm determined to get this trail cam set up in the hen house to see who's doing what!

I did that the other night to confirm that my plastic eggs that keep going missing are being taken by a rat (or rats). Didn't have any eggs in the 2 ground level nests outside the coop but got pictures 3 times of a rat coming in, standing up and looking in the box then moving to the next one to look in. I have NO idea why a rat would want a plastic egg.

funny thing is my grandma had some brand new, unused plastic containers in her garage that the rats chewed up really bad. they seemed to really love something about it. she can no longer have plastic anything out there otherwise they go straight for it.
