I am addicted to these EE's...

My first pair was muffy and olive, olive i lost to a predator last spring- she was so sweet natured

any guesses on what these two will look like grown up? Both parents are white, so their coloring surprised me

When I was researching what kind of chickens I wanted, the EE was at the top of my list. I was so excited when I called the feed store on the day I went to pick some chicks that they had some that hatched that Wednesday. I have two and their coloring is pretty different from each other. One has chipmunk strips and one is a darker brown. I can't wait to see what they look like. I love looking at the EE pictures because they are all so unique.

The day I got my chicks. Mabel is the one with the chipmunk strip and Hazel is the brown one hiding at the top.

At two weeks. Mabel in the front and Hazel's little brown head behind her.

SO the weather was nice today and While I watched the USC game(and the gamecock crowed alot during this game) I opened up my frenchdoors...Well look who came in and made herself at home...(I never let the chickens just walk in but this was way to cute)

Lovin the EE so how do you know what colors you'll get when breeding the EE's and what are the colors called? Like what color would Lucy be?? Just wondering?!!!

EE don't really have set colors because of the mix breeding. Some can resemble duck wing, wheaten colorations though. Yours is very pretty.
