The EE braggers thread!!!

i have picked out 15 chicks that i am going to get from meyer haychery 4 of which are EEs, can't wait to order them i am so excited, but i can;t get them until it gets a little warmer. It will be my first order from a hatchery.
All the chickens in my Oreo and his girls album at the bottom of my post are all EE from meyers.

woot one of my EE girls is laying, right about 5 months. Not sure which one, all three have bright red combs. Alight greenish egg, not really olive but sort of a light khaki. Will try and get pics tomorrow.

Sharing some photos of my EE's.

Paint Crested EE hen (Buff Laced Polish x Blue EE).

My Buff Laced Crested EE roo (Buff Laced Polish x Silver EE)

Not a great shot, but this is my Blue-Tailed Red EE rooster.
He is a Naked Neck and Easter Egger cross. Don't know which way since I hatched all eggs together.

This is another NN/EE cross hen. Unusual color don't know quite what to call her coloration.
Below is a picture of her neack feathers and her wing feathers.

Sorry, but I'm not a great photographer.

I've only just realized my chicken is an EE! The farm coop sold her as an Ameraucana chick, and being new to chickens, I had no idea there was a difference between the two. Actually quite proud she doesn't fall into the purebred breed - I think she's prettier than a lot of Ameraucanas.

I am just curious as I am new to chickens and know nothing of genetics. But if the hen is single comb with no beard/muff is she destined to lay brown eggs or are they not directly linked??
Possible. The no beard and muff soen't mean a brown egg though. It is only the peacomb that is tied into the blue/green egg gene. That doesn't mean though that a single comb won't lay a green egg, but a very slim chance that she will.
