The white bird in this picture made me giggle!
Quote: she's a real ham, and very much a camera hog! so is the beardless/muffless girl
All the chickens in my Oreo and his girls album at the bottom of my post are all EE from meyers.i have picked out 15 chicks that i am going to get from meyer haychery 4 of which are EEs, can't wait to order them i am so excited, but i can;t get them until it gets a little warmer. It will be my first order from a hatchery.
Possible. The no beard and muff soen't mean a brown egg though. It is only the peacomb that is tied into the blue/green egg gene. That doesn't mean though that a single comb won't lay a green egg, but a very slim chance that she will.I am just curious as I am new to chickens and know nothing of genetics. But if the hen is single comb with no beard/muff is she destined to lay brown eggs or are they not directly linked??
Thank you, I knew I there was a link in there somewhere but couldn't remember.Possible. The no beard and muff soen't mean a brown egg though.
