The first one looks like she is Wheaten-based. The second one looks like the standard EE pattern-y deal. Some people call it partridge but with all the mysterious EE genes, it could be any number of things working together to create what you see.

Oh yes. I have been waiting for days to see who would lay first. Then I went down to feed/water and there it was. LIke gold shining in the distance... Oh I am SO addicted

Here is my chicke story. Last March, my DH got me 4 chicks for our anniversary. Then I got 2 more. Then more, then more. For Christmas, my DD got me an incubator. Now I have 6 new Naked Neck chicks, 1 new Blue Laced Red Wyandotte, 1 Isbar chicks, 1 Frizzled mix, 5 pullets, 6 hens and one mistake Blue Copper Marans roo. This weekend I am going to the Poultry show in Newnan, GA. Hopefully to meet up with two people to get more chicks/eggs. Addiction!

I have some old egg farm roll out cages. last year I trapped the EE hens put them in in the cages. ( sure ****** them off) left them their until they layed their egg to see what color it was. I had bought feed store pullet chicks (haha) 12. oUT OF THE 12 CHICKS 6 WERE ROOSTERS 6 WERE PULLET. OUT of the 6 pullets only 2 lay blue green eggs. 4 laid pinkest brown.
anyway back to cages once I see what color egg they lay I tag them with a zip tie blue, green and combination of colors. Oh I have olive zip tie too.Boy are they happy to get out of the cage and back to their own place.

these are the amerucanas I hatched for eggs. Guess their EE because splash wheaten aren't reconized. Going to breed my EE s with them.

I see 3 cockerels in that pen? where are the others?

There is actually 5 cockels in this pen. Been have neighbors dog problems. the others from feed store are in a different pen free range all day. are in different pens. the pullets from the ameraucana hatch all passed at point of lay. darn it.
Dog problem gone! they took the dog to town to live. He wasn't going to live long here. he was a very smart dog.
Go to use the cockels on EE. with fluffy faces and beards.

My girls have started laying again FINALLY
Swore I would not hatch chicks this year BUT the green egg hatch a long is so temping... A you see I have way to many chickens already...
Doing a happy dance the eggs from the store are so yukky tasting....

I so cannot get the right color they are with a camera,
