I was supposed to be picking up 4 chicks: 2 Cuckoo Marans and 2 Welsummers for my SO... but I couldn't leave these EE's at the feed store. 2+2+2 = 4, right?

They started hatching yesterday i got black chicks, blackish grey chicks, black with yellow on the tips of their wings and bellies, then black with grey on the tip of the wings and bellies. Then i got a yellow one with a brown spot on its head, a solid yellow, and a few that where yellow with bown markings going down their back. What a color combo im excited to see how they turn out!!! Oh i almost forgot do you think the feather sexing thing will work if i sex them?

You can try feather sexing them - but unless one or the other parent carry the slow feathering gene it won't mean anything. I did - and I marked them to see if I was right... So far looks right - but they are only 4 weeks old now.

im working on pics i brought them inside for better lighting and once doing so noticed some of them have a bark reddish brown arougn their face ive very curious now they are so supper fluffy though and they all carried the rose comb they got from their daddy the darker ones all have slate leggs or dark leggs and the yellow ones all have yellow legs i thought that was kinda funny too!!!

here is most of them but not all of them some where still wet so i had to leave them under the lamp till they dried i didnt want them getting a chill
