The EE braggers thread!!!

I still in my first year with my girls, all 12 clucking strong!! we have a bit diverse flock and its going to increase in the spring. I am thinking king to add bantys EEs then and more, may have to restrain myself then. darn it!!sorry all my mobile didn't upload current part of thread!

You can try - but I must warn you - chicken math is very strong... If you have any Bantys they will go broody and multiply your flock.. so have a plan of what to do with the excess boys...
 
hmm excess bantys.... let's see freezer??? i know not big enough ,we still kicking breeds around bit my EEs are the sweetest of my flock.

Bantys don't have much meat on them for butchering. I have a couple agreesive bantam roosters that I am going to take to the butcher and was debating on whether to just have do the deed or process them.
 
I use silkie cockerels for soup. I have fried them before, but it's just the two of us so one bird is plenty for a meal. Small just means you needs more of them for meals.
 
hi all, almost lost my pretty EE to a hawk. she only lost feathers and part of her right wing feathers, no cuts or punctures thankfully. Eva is acting fine and doing well, color was pale for an hour but she has bounced back.

This is Macy she is about 22 weeks. No eggs yet but looking forward to them and color.
