I'm fairly good at identifying pullets and hens but males of most breeds I'm still learning. Had more practice with the girls lol

Your welcome, it sure isn't hard to do that (get an EE when you think you are getting and ameraucana) and always better to ask (the breed) here rather then the ameraucana thread.

We are a lot nicer about the whole breed I.D. thing. lol

Love the pics Kassaundra. The first one is very cute I love her pose. And the last pic is too funny. Hes looking under her like "Hey what do you got going on under here?"

I love the top pic!

Also, tell me about how your NN do in the cold. Don't they get frostbite?

No no frost bite at all. My coop is built for our insane summers and has large areas that are open wire all year round and really open in the summer, and even w/ the large open areas in the winter still no cold related problems. I am in OK, so probably pretty comparable to your weather.

Yeah I know what you mean. Talking with some of the folks there ( and not everyone there is an AM Nazi) has made me decide to focus on on the landrace ancestor breeds of the Ameraucana: Collanas, Huastec and the Sweet Potato Quecha. I like the idea of showing one day but I will probably do it with a different breed.

The snow on the ground threw me :)
