The EE braggers thread!!!

I'm glad I found this thread! I'm still new to chickens as of August. I have started out with 2 ducks, 4 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Rhode Island Reds and 4 Easter Eggers. The EE's are by far my favorite!!

I LOVE the color variety the EE's eggs add to my egg basket

Rocky Road (Rocky) my Roo. I had ordered all pullets as I didn't want a rooster and was surprised when this one started crowing. He has turned out to be a wonderful rooster so he gets to stay

I love my 3 EE's. Ivory has gotten mean though. I have her in a pen in the garage by herself because she's severely bullying the other hens. I kept her separated for a week and put her back, within a day she pecked 1 of my lil RIR's pertty bad and was going after my roo. She's now been in the garage for about 3 weeks, don't know what to do with her. She lays an extra lg green egg almost everyday, but she can't live in the garage 4ever.

Buy some Peepers. You can get them from Strombergs or Ebay. They look like sunglasses but are solid and use a pin to clamp them in place around the beak. Blocks there forward vision which keeps them from zeroing in on their victims.

Are they easy? I am still new to chickens, so don't know much of anything yet. lol Do u put on and leave or change daily? Thanks for ur help

Do i need to order both the peepers and the replacement pins? I'm on stromberg's and there's diff ones, want to make sure I order the right stuff

Well the original set comes with a pin but I'd have some back up pins because they take the most stress on the device.
