COChix you have some really great looking girls.
I tend to mostly get Darker colors in my EE girls or just pure white.
Makes me want to go do some research on getting the lighter colored white mixes.
We are also missing the blue color in our Eee's

As I was saying before I was so rudely I-interrupted.

We are also missing the blue color, which is another great reason to put my Splash Ameraucana over my mixed batch of hens. That should really add some more colors!!

My EE, Daisy, has been inside with us for about five days now due to an unknown illness, long story but she is getting better. In the five days away from the flock, she has forgotten she is a chicken! Now she follows up around the yard, wants to sit in our laps, and tries to come back in the house when she is having outside time. She is so sweet, I hope when she goes back to her flock for good they don't beat her up to much. This is her, contemplating that after being hand fed treats and having her own pen under a toasty heat lamp, that I now expect her to go be a chicken..........

Hopefully flock integration goes smoothly. I just integrated an injured bird back into the flock and had issues. A lot if it was dealing with two RIR roo's that were being thugs and throwing off the balance if the flock. They were being mean to her when she went back into the group. One thing I did was able to put Isis and Gretchen both sweet petite EE with her separated from the main flock, while her eye healed. She will be blind in one eye, but she survived. Anyway, I have read the longer they are separated the harder to integrate. If you can put others with her that helps with integration. It is integrating several birds at once, so the flock doesn't focus on the one. After we culled our RIR Roo's we were able to integrate the injured girl back with the flock. Be prepared for some squabbles and fights as the pecking order has to be re-established.

Cute, roosting on top of the fence! You were right before when you said your Isis and my Marshmallow are twins. I had to double check to make sure I didn't post these pics! I do not have a twin of Honey, though. She is a pretty girl.

yes they are twins and Isis is probably one if the sweetest girls we have.

thanks, I can't take credit as they are from Meyer hatchery. They will be mating with BO roo's so it I'll be interesting to see their offspring down the road. Wonder what type of coloring they will be. Lighter I would assume, maybe you could enlighten me on that subject as I have a lot to learn about breeding.

Me too! Out of my 8 new chicks, the only breed that doesnt have the beard/muffs are the Australorps lol

COCHix it'll be tough to tell. Especially not knowing the background on your hatchery birds.
I can tell you any time you mess with buffs, there is a lot of restricting and modifying on their genetics.
One of the guys like Jerry could give you many more tips than me, In still a newbie! Lol
