Do you tell them at the auction they are boys?  Will someone actually buy EE boys?

I have 100 Cream legbar cockerels that are living in the bus stop waiting for the freezer camp bus. I cannot even give them away.

They sell chicks as straight run, normally I wait until they are 5 weeks so I know for sure gender. They sell for about $1/ chick and I get about $.75.

The advantage I don't have to feed them or process them.

That is dishonest to me, If you know they are all boys you have a moral responsibility to reveal that to the unsuspecting buyer.

I cannot tell you how despicable I find an act like this.

You are to be congratulated for being semi-honest then, I would put a sign on them. I would also find another Auctioneer and never go to his auctions. An auctioneer that does that is not above using phony side bidders and phantom bidders to raise the price.

A person that lacks honesty is as low as they come to me. That is my last word on this As I do not want the thread to devolve.

I see the term tufts, buffs, and muffs. I know tufts are the flips by the ears but I assume buff is referring to the "beard" of a bird? I always called them muffs...is it a regional difference or is one technically right/wrong?
