She is my only EE but she is wonderful. A total ditz, but we love her! She tends to fly into walls, rosebushes, chairs, and my dog constantly. We have gotten adjusted to her... Quirks haha. She is sweet though and knows to jump on my arm and roost if I tap it

The pea comb is closely associated with the blue-egg gene, but is not a guarantee. I would guess your straight-combed girl probably won't lay you a blue egg, but your girls are very pretty!

. If you go back to the pic's that I put up on here (page 110) Mystic has more what looks like tufts to me it's like a cross between tufts and muffs lol I'm hoping she's a cross!!

As far as the peacombs I cant tell you much of anything but what I've read about on here (sounds like you've already read the same lol) I would say dont loose all hope on the single combed beauty that you have based on comb alone, she might have the genetics there but the peacomb was covered by the single comb? I think the rosecomb is more of a base to go by (if rosecomb you KNOW you have the genetics and will have them) but if not rosecomb it's a guessing game until they start laying.

I wish you were closer because if you DO have 2 roo's there and didn't want the second, I'd sure like to add him to our breeding program...Our roo is one side of the pendulum and I'd like to have the other side too lol
I'm lovin on the awsome colors and patterns of the EE's they've caught my attn and got a good solid hold on my heart ...mine are still young (few more months till breeding and laying) but I just cannot wait!!!

I'm hoping to have our EE roo cover one of our Brahma hens ...now heres the fun part...the Brahmas have rosecombs too so is the blue/green egg gene going to stay prominent? lol Wouldn't that be neat to have a BIG Brahma type laying blue/green eggs ..

Well I feel like an idiot...I mean peacomb not rose comb lol Sorry guys I've been exhausted and brain dead these last few days.
As far as the corrilation and between peacomb and blue/green egg color I'll go back and see if I can find the link for it if you'd like me to

You had me so excited! I thought maybe there was a rose combed breed of blue egg layer that I didn't know about. Can you imagine?! Though, GeneGodess, your Anonymous there almost looks like she's got a rose comb. So neat.

I have three EE's with pea combs and beard/muffs that lay eggs that are definately NOT blue or green.

Cassie, Pene and Jules lay light brown, pinkish-brown, and cream colored eggs.

This is my creamy white EE, Jemima. She's now 14 weeks old and we're keeping our fingers crossed that she IS a she. Not a pointy feather on her body and although her comb is getting a bit pink, it's quite small and only has one row. Just the sweetest bird. Loves to drape her loooong neck over our arm and fall asleep. I've got to get a picture of that someday. Usually it's MY arm her neck is draped over so it's hard to get a picture!
