The EE braggers thread!!!

Its impossible to know unless a test breeding has confirmed that the male EE carries the blue egg gene. If it carries two copies, all his female chicks will lay blue or green; one copy produces 50%; and of course he can't produce blue eggers out of non-blue eggers if he doesn't carry the gene himself [and some don't].

Thanks for all the info......I think I may pass on them until I can be sure, I still will hang out here for all the great information.

Hi there! May I join the EE braggers? I'm a total sucker for EEs; stunning color variations, beautiful eggs, and generally, a great temperament.

Here's Amber, who is currently my only EE because I had to give away a rooster. I could not ask for a better bird.

Thats a hen right there, I believe she's got the Silver Suckwing Hen pattern. Roosters usually dont come colored like that.
How old are they?

I agree. Looks like a Silver Duckwing bird was thrown into the mix that made your EE, and that is what a hen looks like. Ignore the size and redness of the comb, she's just going to be laying soon.

SteveH a lot of comments saying she looks like a coyote even before I tell them that she was found in the desert. But I do not agree. the first picture are two EEs that I hatched out of my own birds. Sadly the rooster began to crow at two months. I think that he was inspired by other roosters.

This doesn't look coyote to me. Even with the long snout ! I say greyhound maybe.

Crash0330 Where I live the single combs are effected by the freezing on rare occasions yes but I just like the look of the pea and rose combs.

Wild trapper my Amber is not as pretty as your but she makes wonderful eggs.

I think all EEs are pretty, well most I've seen anyway, even some mutts I've owned and seen.

Most of them are pretty. Their eggs are especially pretty.

But seriously, I'm about ready to start squeezing my EEs to make eggs come out.
