The EE braggers thread!!!

morning guys- that roo is amazing- maybe cuz he is older- but last nite when all the chickens were getting settled for the nite, cocoa the cochin was being ornery and wouldn't come in- that roo waited to go in until she finally came it- it was the first time they had freeranged with him, and they took him all over to their fav places- he has some incredible spurs, should i trim them or something?

Nice Roo there! and such pretty girls too! I have 2 Roos a Blue Orp, Zues, and the second in line is a Salmon Fav Roo, Oliver. When Zues tells the girls it time to go in , most listen and follow him but most of the time my EE girls want to stay out a bit longer and apparently it falls to Oliver to go out and "presuade" the girls to come in. Its so funny to watch the way they have the whole system worked out! LOL

I've 24 EEs in the incubator waiting on a few more to hatch, it's day 21 and all but two of mine are hatched, still waiting on DIL's JBGs, she has 6 more to go and 4 of those are pipping, so we both have 2 eggs in question. Come on chicks.

we started collecting our eggs yesterday for setting this friday. 3 barred rock hens, should be 9-12 eggs maybe, max 5 days old. have incubator still running from last hatch, cleaned it out and put turner back in. it is holding temp at 100.0. I am excited to try the blue-barred project. We are keeping all the chicks from this hatch to see how they turn out, if we get a decent rooster- he can lead the mongrel horde. I have seen some really cool pics of blue barred roosters on byc.

Hello everyone! I was hoping to jump on this thread and gain knowledge about the EE breed. I have 15 EE chicks coming to me on the 27th and I am so EXCITED!!!!

I have fallen in love with EE's and i cannot wait to have my own flock of them! I have enjoyed going through these posts and seeing all the beautiful birds posted! I may end up having a few questions, so I am glad to have found a group of people with the same breed. Thanks!
