So to answer your question, just because the bird in question has a pea comb, does not mean it will lay blue/green eggs. The blue/green egg layers will almost always have pea combs, but the pea combed hens will not necessarily lay blue/green eggs.

..... Makes sense, since I do have 1 EE hen with a pea comb they lays a pink egg. She is the only 1 of 6 that does not have a beard and small tuffs. The other 5 lay blue/green eggs. So wait for the hens to start laying and work from there.
