The EE braggers thread!!!

My new EE's:)

They are out of a blue AM roo and a blue andulasian hen. Also, can someone help me and tell me if any of these are splash AM's? They are from blue x blue cross

I don't really know what to look for to see if they are splash. I heard gray ones can turn out to be splash?

I see four blues in a sea of blacks...

I have one of this cross (Black Am x Blue Andy) and she is growing up to be the sweetest thing; she's 10 weeks now.

It doesn't matter if the Brahma is the hen or the rooster, feathered feet and legs are a dominate trait as is the pea comb. But the feathered feet and legs will be a decreased amount on the first generation. If you take a feathered foot and leg from the first generation and breed it back to a feather footed parent they should improved. And the pea comb will be a modified pea comb in the first generation perhaps looking more like a rose comb and others that are just different. If you look back on the pictures of EE here you will see a variety of combs because some where in the makeup is a single comb bird.

Steen I do not see muffs or beard on the first picture. Are both pictures of the same bird ?
no not the same bird. One is 3 months old last week and the second is just 5 weeks old a cpl days ago. and the ffive week old has had major feather development due to it being raised with my guineas on there high protein food. But the beard and muffs are just bairly starting to show. And by looking at some 8 and 10 week pics on this post of others beards and muffs i think she might be having early development on those aswell.

I do see the color on the back of her neck which ive learned is bad. and im not sure how many primary feathers can be black on the large fowl wheaten female. Needless to say ive learned the tough lesson about buying birds in full pens full of many diffrent colors verses ordering from someone who breeds for specific colors. Mine are just to love and enjoy but i do want to learn all i can so i can breed in the near future.

I feel that my birds that show muff and beards at birth have the best beards and muffs over all. In fact I do not remember seeing a chick without the facial furniture develop it as they grew up. On males the comb and wattles grow as the testosterone develops but I like pea combs and beards. Birds with beards have tiny wattles. We have cold winters which caused my interest in small combs and wattle and now I prefer the look of pea and rose combs and beards and muffs. Eventually I would like all my birdies to have EE like features.

I have three EE's, two 6 month old pullets and one Roo. I have BRs and Welsummers but EE's are my favorites.
I live in North GA Mountains - Ellijay - and want to buy more female pullets if anyone has any available please let
me know. If possible, pictures would be great as well as price. Thanks.
