The EE braggers thread!!!

Thank you all! Yeah Cheeka, you just never know what you're going to end up with. Mine, especially Mean Bird, are constantly changing now. She first feathered out a Buff Orpington color, now she is switching the buff feathers for a deep gold, as you can see. I will do another update when they are laying!! That will probably be another 5 weeks. Their combs have not grown or reddened a single bit from 14 to 19 weeks. I love watching them grow :)

She is such a pretty lady.

Has she started laying yet? I hope my EE girls have some little ones like that when it's time

She has not!
I'm so excited to see what color she lays ... I have a feeling she's going to be a loong time yet before she decides to lay hahah.

I do, I do!

I got a few new pics of some of my other EE's today. I took the pics at dusk today, they seem to be the most active then.

This is Peanutbutter, one of my year old hens.

Latte

Cafe' the pic really doesn't do her justice

And a group shot, in the back is Mocha, middle Cafe', and in front Kona

There are RULES that make them Ameraucana. No rules with EE, there are indicators they are not Ameraucansa and thus EE like green legs. I personally don't like the green legs so I don't breed in ways to create green legs. I prefer the whiteish or slate legs.... that i just me. EE also don't have to have a beard and muffs, but again I like them so I am trying to breed toward that too. EE are just fun, you never know what you are going to get with the chicks, makes it fun to guess what they are going to look like as adults. I also like the NO RULES, makes them easy to breed.

Here are some of my up and coming that I'm loving!

Jack, the father, a way too colorful Splash Copper Marans and Juanita, the mother, a beardless, blue laying EE, created these 3 ....full blooded sisters....the variety is just amazing!

Jilly

Gidget

Picaso

Beauties, right?!? I'm hoping for olive eggs! They are so pretty I don't even care that they don't have beards!
