The EE braggers thread!!!

Here's one of our younger boys...Gilderoy Lockhart. His mom is Wheaten Mararns/Ameraucana. His dad is full Blue Wheaten Ameraucana.

The pic was taken with my cellphone...

Well, my Wheaton AM x Blue Andalusian chicks are just starting to get red leakage on their shoulders. Kind of hoped for a solid blue bird

Is it true that the birds can change different colors after the molt?
I have seen that claim made several times, none of my birds changed colors after their first molt, one did have a slight change, the feathers across her back had more blue/grey after her molt, but she essetially looked the same and just those few feathers changed, she already had blue in her feathers so it wasn't a new to her color.

I had 2 white hatchery EE and after their molt the both had a lot of buff color on their breast. They didn't have that before. I don't think that is normal though.

I will see what my white EE looks like after molt, she is with a clutch and hasn't started to molt yet, I hope she does soon. I always have that one that molts late going into winter. She is very dirty right now.

They can definitely change a lot growing from chick to adult, and I've seen birds come out with slightly different color patterns after a molt, but they had the same colors in them, just in different places.

This is what I was going to say. One of my chicks had a nice grey beard and lost it in her juvenile molt :(
