The Egg Song

Is it normal for a hen to sing the "egg song" but yet to lay an egg? I have a RIR that does the song a few times a day for about a week now but no egg ????? I think my girls are trying to drive me crazy.

YEP! They'll do that alright!

One of my girls finally laid her first egg two days ago, but she went through almost 5 days of bwaaak-bwaaaak-bwaaaking...drove me nuts, too!!
