I got another good egg from Snow White - this is her second in a row. Hoping things are starting to go well for her. Looks like she had one week of wacky egg laying and maybe we're going back to "normal" eggs. The kids and I are really attached to her, my DH not so much

My White Leghorn is now 25 weeks. No squatting, her comb is still not very big.

I've given up on her until spring, I think. I read all of those stories about how other peoples white leghorns laying at 16 weeks!!!

So, I'm turning to my Black Stars. They're 15 weeks old today. When do they lay? I've heard they're early maturing too. Can anybody give me some happy stories about when their Black Stars layed? (16/17 weeks would be great ) Some happy stories about White Leghorns would be great too. I hope I haven't broken a record.
