The eggs are in the incubator!!! *Update 1/31*!!!

I candled the eggs at day 5. At least 18 have veins. The other 12 are darker eggs and can't really tell. I am so much more optimistic now. I'll recandle the other 12 sunday night when it's 7 days and see if I can tell anymore.

Today is day 18 so I took the eggs out of the crate to lay flat. I tried candling, but my flashlight batteries were dying

. I could see 4 definately moving in the egg. The rest (except for the 5 I'm tossing due to no developement) were completely dark except for the air pocket. I went back to check temp and humidity and one of the ones that I couldn't see anything is slightly rocking. So slight I thought I was halucinating at first. So

. Homemade bator and first time, seems like something may happen.

I CAN NOT believe how many people have the same hatch date. I'm right there with you with Sunday being day 21.
I candled last night, 8 were completely dark except for the air cell, the other 2 had a dark band right thru the middle and was lighter at the bottom of the egg. I don't know what that means but I left them in just in case.

I guess now it's a race to see who has the first pip.
