wow this is so weird our broody australorp wouldnt sit on the eggs in her broody pen but when i put her in her old nest she sat right back on the eggs so were going to put our BO in the broody pen and hope she goes broody cause we put some fake eggs in. were going to have her as a backup broody so if our australorp quits then the eggs wont die.

What a great idea to have your hen hatch them instead of using the bator! I'll have to remember that, if I order eggs again. Enjoy! I love waiting on eggs to hatch.
