"No," she admitted. "I've no idea what I'll do. I figured that I should consider each option, I know it would be dangerous to stay, but it would be dangerous to go! We have no idea what's out there. Do you know what you'll do yet?"
"I'm going to stay... I think. I think I have to stay for the kits." He smiled fondly when he thought of Honeykit and Pidegonkit. "But I'll leave if Terraclaw wants to go and the kits might be able to go to."

Terraclaw padded out and pressed to his side. "I think we should stay. I want Pidgeonkit and Honeykit to be here and live like we did. Train here." She looked at him and muttered, "But we can leave if you want to..."

Lichenstep nodded, understanding. "Kits would find the journey hard, so I can understand that. But I think I might be leaning more towards leaving... We wouldn't be considering leaving if it wasn't dangerous to stay, and if we were to stay it might get worse..."

"We can stay." He mewed firmly, seeing that she really wanted to.

"I understand that."
"But then again... How could I leave my home?" She looked around, feeling pressured and exasperated in her own inability to make a decision. "I just don't know! And it doesn't help that I'm well aware my decision will affect all my descendants."

Terraclaw purred, glad he understood and looked at Lichenstep. "Well, if you stay... You and Dewfang could have kits but if you leave you'll have to wait. I'd miss you but it's your choice and every cat should have that choice. I'm going to ask the kits what they want..."

"And I understand that," she nodded. "But if I were to stay and have kits, I'd be worried about their safety. I'd miss you all too, I don't see how I could leave, but at the same time I can't see how I could stay. Ugh! Why must I be so indecisive?" she scolded herself.

Dewfang was feeling restless, so he decided to go for a walk. He padded out into the forest and looked around. He heard Litchenstep's voice, so he joined them silently, pressing up against Litchenstep's side, sensing her distress.

"Good idea." Birdclaw nodded
