"I think so," she agreed sadly. "We really do need to set out. It seems like I keep saying it, but I think we might need to set out tomorrow, even. We need to leave and get as far as we can before two moons are up. They'll keep ticking even while we're sitting around here, starving. We need to start acting."

Or in any area, really, she thought. "We'll try over here." She changed direction and tried following the wind. If any prey was here, they would be downwind, making it harder to scent them, but it would be worth it.
