The Epileptic that Chickens saved!!

Yep could not believe it my self I am a 40 year old life long bird fearing man, about 9 months ago I was diaganosed wirh epiplepsy.Now I have found the calming, comforting, time consuming joy of chickens!!! by the grace of wanting the freshest eggs and food I can get!!I have never been clooser with my family or spent as much time on the house and yard in my life! There is something special about growing raising and preparing food as a family!! THANKS CHICKENS,Fruits and VEGGIES and BYC peeps for letting me rammble LOL and when they determine I am a non spamer I will get some pic's up who know's maybe someday I will have a farm?????

I was about 7 when I got interested in gardening and to this day when my hands are in the dirt I feel the most connected to life itself. For generations we lived closely with nature, only since the advent of agriculture have we removed ourselves from meeting our own needs, and the industrial revolution moved us even farther from the land. I honestly believe many of our illnessess as well as what plagues society could be healed if we moved closer to nature and not farther from it. Just my opinion.
