Blue Cross.
And last year they raise my deductible to over $6,000, and my co-pays as well

Yikes, Mary. We have no deductible, thankfully. But, that is one benefit of serving a lifetime in the military. A deductible like that would be a huge chunk of his pension, which is not what some people seem to think it is. Folks have a lot of misconceptions about that, unfortunately. Then, you have the other folks who think the military should pay the same as everyone else after serving for many years at the whim of the country, volunteering to be shot at if called up. They already took back most every promise made to the vets. Tom even gets zippo for his disability rating. They literally take a small chunk from his pension and hand that much to him from the VA so it isn't taxed, but it is not extra.

I got a blue egg today! Have not seen one of those in ages. Maretta, my 7 1/2 yr old BW Ameraucana/EE cross hen is back in production, or at least, is going to lay a handful before she quits again. Her eggs are very small in her old age. They used to be medium to large and now, they are truly small. In the last three days, then, that's two hens on the Old Lady Group #2 who began laying again. Other than a Brahma or two and two of Hector's hens, no one at all is laying besides those two hens in Georgie's group.

It really is a shame the way we treat veterans in this country.

Do you eat your old ladies eggs? I used to have one that would kick a few eggs out at 8 years. I couldn't bring myself to eat them. Something about how long they have been waiting around in that old girl. :sick

Haha, funny you say that. Yes, I do eat them, however, Tom grabbed Maretta's egg to use tonight and I said, "no wait! I haven't seen one in so long, leave it in there a few days". LOL.
