They are all looking great !! Apollo has just gotten more beauti...handsome, hasn't he!

He's a stud, that's for sure. He has his daddy's soft eye expression, too.

Poor Hector's funky tail... at least he's growing a tail now!

Yeah, funky is a good word for it, LOL. He does have one, but it's just odd. He's a handsome dude, nonetheless. And he's been very sweet since the last incident. Yesterday, he walked between my legs when I was holding Thea, who stuck her head in the sleeve of my open jacket (that is the sweetest girl!). He kept looking up at me and was very gently picking lint off my sweatpants. I reached down and rubbed his wattles and he was as calm as could be.

I think so, too. If Bruno and Bash end up nasty, he'll get the Brahma gals and he'll be in heaven. He wants them anyway.

Sorry to hear about your friend, I have noticed that sometimes people with huge dramas in their life fail to make the hard decisions that would end them.

And Thea jumping on me, I just knew she was going to do it; it's a hazard of sitting down in the pen. You see Hector mills around me constantly when I'm sitting in there. He has changed quite a bit, I think.

I really don't know about that, but thank you. I know that the balance between being a good friend and holding onto your own peace can be tenuous sometimes. I struggle with it. It can be the same with maintaining a relationship with family members or keeping them at a distance, too, and I felt the video may help someone, especially this time of year when family can be a touchy subject. Emotional self defense is what I've started calling it. Some will believe it to be selfish but I'm not 25 years old anymore. I don't have that many years to waste being in a state over someone else's problems. Empathy is good, but living in their skin with them can be destructive to your life.

Well, Apollo finally got what he wanted, a Brahma gal. I posted on the Brahma thread, but the story goes like this:
DH let out the Brahmas and the two small young Barred Rock groups led by Hector and Apollo. Bruno went after one of the BR girls and he said Apollo saw it and went to defend her, going airborne, flew probably 15 feet in the air, came down in the middle of the group, everyone scattered...except Bailey. She squatted for Apollo and Apollo mated her. Bruno was close and wanted so badly to knock Apollo off his girl, but he just didn't have the courage. Guess I'd better start separating the Brahmas from the Barred Rocks when the Brahmas begin laying.
