The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

Yes, we did crazy stuff. Tom told me stuff he did as a kid that made me say I'm glad he wasn't my kid!

Back from the doc. Readings all good. BP, mine, was 109/74, normal for me, but it has been a tiny bit higher the last year. Maybe it's all the quilting I've done the last couple of weeks making me relax.

Mines high at nearly every appointment, especially those where I'm left waiting way past my appointment time. What good is it to make an appointment if the doctor isn't gonna keep the appointment. I get mad going to the doctors because I have so many of them and apparently I can never do anything good enough. 40 years of juvenile diabetes has jaded me.

And riding bikes without helmets - or in cars with no seatbelts (the cars I mean) - or in the backs of pickup trucks.
I remember rolling around in the back of the station wagon as well as the pickup. We did plenty of things that were quite dangerous, and all of us survived surprisingly. Now kids are eating tide pods, and cannot go anywhere unaccompanied.

They're ridiculously fragile and, frankly, as far as I can tell, rather dumb. No one expects them to be better or face the consequences of their actions, so they aren't and they don't censor their actions/words. No self-control at all. Sad.

As far are BP, Tom has taken meds for his for years. They are discontinuing the only one that has semi-worked and the doc had to change to a different one, so his shot up and was about 164/80-something today. If he'd lose 50 lbs, I think it would help that drop quite a bit. I'm overweight, but never had an issue with blood pressure except for a period when I was drinking an herbal tea with licorice in it, which tends to raise BP. I stopped that, though I loved it, and it went back to normal.
