The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

Glad you made it through.

A few smaller limbs were down, but all buildings and both SUVs are fine. Insane weather, but we always seem to be in a sheltered location, to some degree.

Working on my friend Robin's bed runner today. Taking a break, though. Here is some of the it, shown from the back mostly so you can really see the patterns. This free motion quilting can be stressful on the neck/shoulders/back when the piece is so humongously long, but I"m not far from done!

Well, it hadn't rained here for a day and a half, so last night it stormed, and we got enough rain to make up for the time it didn't rain. It's even been on the news how quite a few areas here have broken rainfall records, and the ones that haven't broken records, have at least tied with previous records. I can count on my left hand the number of days we have not had rain, since the first of May. The one thing that's very hard to keep up with is the pool. Way too much fresh water in it on a daily basis, which throws it out of whack.

Thanks, they're turned into pretty girls, I think. I may wait another two weeks to let them get more size on them and then, allow them out on range with Hector, Thea and Jill before I actually pen them with him. When it's time for them to really go in with Hector, I'm going to remove Zara and he'll have four girls of his own, and only one I can't breed from (Thea, because of her wry tail).
Does that sound like a reasonable plan? I'm not looking forward to Hector's reaction to them. Not sure what he'll do. I've never given him young pullets.
