I'm going to forget delaware. Do you sell barred rock eggs?

Yeah, I know. No matter how many times I write on the ad, someone always says "how much shipping to xyz zipcode?" I used to ship, did it hundreds of times, but I'm not NPIP as the law supposedly requires and I don't want the gov't in my chicken business so I don't plan to be so I decided not to (that, and you make almost no $$ on it, after the trouble of properly packing the eggs, etc). There are other folks who have my stock, like Barred Rocker in Virginia, who is NPIP and might ship to you.

@gojira , sent you a PM.

I'm fairly sure whose chick is whose now, at least I'm sure which ones belong to Dottie and which do not. The biggest, tall male with the less precise barring is probably Rowena or Rachel's because he feathered out faster, more like the Delaware part of the family (Ro, Rachel and Atlas have that smidgen of Del in them, so coming from both sides). The other two males have to belong to Dottie. I believe the broader of the pullets also belongs to Dottie. The smaller one just has to be Rachel or Ro's, them being smaller bodied than Bigfoot Dottie. I can't imagine Dottie with Atlas producing a pullet that was anything but chunky. So, that means one pullet and one cockerel each belong to Ro and Rachel. Anyway, that's my take on it.

Whoa! Here in VA? No way!! Gonna keep that one in mind as broody season approaches!

I've been keeping up, just super busy here at home to have time to reply. Windows are OPEN, chickens are free ranging, dare I say spring has sprung?

Thank you for sharing pics as the little ones grow up!! It is so much fun to watch them develop.

Hope everyone is enjoying this nice weather!

OMG, someone shoot me now! Everyone on FB keeps calling or asking me to call them and they can't understand when I say over and over again that "I DO NOT HAVE LAYING HENS FOR SALE" that I DO NOT HAVE LAYING HENS.

I have posted this about three times on the ad, every time someone calls me and says, "Well I don't want no roosters".

Quote: I just had someone say he'd buy the chicks, then in the conversation, he says he only wants layers. WTH is wrong with people? Do they think that by ignoring the ad, I'll magically have hens to sell?

I feel that if they're that dense, they probably will throw them in some flimsy chickenwire enclosure and they'll be torn apart by racoons within a week, because surely, they didn't read the part about having a safe, predator proof coop for them, either, if they can't even get that I have only five chicks, three males and two females.

And of course, I'm loving the warmer weather! Never mind I have a headache today, just getting over that stupid cold we caught at the doctor's office and spent yesterday morning at the ER with DH getting his torn open leg cleaned and bandaged. Yeah, would like to peacefully enjoy the nice spring weather now that it's here!

Thank you, I appreciate that. I just don't get why they are so oblivious to my repeatedly saying what I have for sale. I don't advertise on Craigslist for that reason, the crazies. I've met some nice folks on the online yard sale selling the D'Anver eggs, but the ones about the BRs, they seem to be a different crowd; that is, except one lady who got BR eggs from me, but then, she was originally on the list for the Belgian D'Anvers so she's with the normal bunch, LOL.
