Yes, we sure hope so! He's was out today and not one single accident, LOL.


Realized something was on my lens after I took several pictures today. Hope it's off now, but this one was a tad blurry.



Oh, videos of little Gidget and her BR cousins with Maretta. Hope the thumbnails pop in soon. Good grief, never had this much trouble with them.

I am so angry this morning and heartsick. Someone, we know who but can't prove it, stole Ladyhawk's beautiful Dark Brahma pullet from an outside pen. She had left the house to go to her elderly neighbor's for about 5 minutes. There was circumstantial evidence but sweet Lacey is still missing and we are so frustrated and sad. Stupid neighbor is a known thief, has stolen things from her barn before, too. I would probably be in jail if someone took one of my pets.

LH lives on a private road with only one person past her, a guy who has his entire acreage wired with cameras. He has a game warden friend, who he contacted about this guy. The game warden is on the thief's brother's nearby farm property now. He cut the gate lock in spite of protests that he couldn't do it (he whipped out his federal ID) and lo and behold, guess what he found? A nice healthy field of pot plants! Took the guy's truck keys, told him to sit in the truck, that he'd be there awhile and if that chicken was on the property, she'd be found today. So, that property is being searched top to bottom and if Lacey is on it, he should find her. Hope that little gnome hasn't hurt her. And maybe someone will be in jail, one way or another. The warden has a photo of her for identification purposes already so he knows what he's looking for and has already searched some cages there but there was a locked room he didn't go into yesterday the first time he did a cursory search in the barn. Today, I do believe he'll be cutting off that lock and searching that room as well.


Ladyhawk's other neighbor who has his entire acreage (several hundred, I think) wired can watch any part of it from his work. When they had a power outage recently, the system was temporarily down. And someone siphoned gas out of a tractor on his place. Gee, wonder who?

He will be wiring Ladyhawk's property the same way as well as another close by neighbor's as well. And they have a private road which they have plans to put a gate across, too. This guy and his brother will be stopped one way or another. If any of you recall, LH has had to shoot several Rottweilers on her property, one killed quite a few birds and was shot by a deputy with one in its mouth. Those dogs belong to chicken thief's brother who has the pot plot the warden just discovered.

Hope they get what's coming to them. I guess crime really doesn't pay!

Awh, SWEET justice. I hope they nail him. and I hope they find Ladyhawks fowl. I am sitting on nails today. Tonight will be day 21 on my Jubilees. One under the broody in the small coop had a pip at 10am these inside have not pipped but one did move when I tapped the top earlier.

I feel like a very nervous mother today waiting for her water to break.anxious ...........
