The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

Wow, what an awesome thing learning to play. I would probably have to invest in a pair of ear muffs for myself though. At least for a while. We lived and worked right in bluegrass country, so I can appreciate it, but can not listen to it all the time. Dh has a hand made guitar that his childhood neighbor made. It is amazing and made out of a type of wood you can't even get anymore. He got the slab of wood on a trade from a guy who had it for 30 some years. Such a beautiful sound. I am a big fan of acoustic guitars.

I wanted to share this little cutie. I can only hope she will keep her speckles, but I am not optimistic. After the big attack of July, she will be a keeper. My best guess is that she is either ee/slw mix x ee or ee/slw mix x ee/slw mix.

And a little excitement about the new coop build!

Oh, no way. Him playing in the coop would set up a whole new caterwauling that, added to the sour notes from the violin, would drive me to complete insanity, LOL. I'm already on the threshold.

Anyone ever seen this? Isaac shed this and at first, I thought it was a feather split down the center, but nope, it's two complete feathers in one quill.

That barring is fabulous. And what an interesting feather.
I'm very pleased with Lizzie's color pattern. And yeah, that feather of Ike's took me aback a little. Strange. Maybe an "old man" feather, LOL.

Wow! So Crisp! She is beautiful, I know you and Atlas are proud.

She is very attached to Atlas and he's being a perfect gentleman until she is ready for mating. So far, no squatting that I've seen, but I'm not with them all the time, either.
