The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

I have been a bit happier lately too. I think it's the increase in daylight, my roosters are starting to fight and I'm feeling optimistic about spring arriving early. Another beautiful quilt. Glad you are feeling happier too, you've had a rough month.

I think being married to me has done wonders for his sense of humor.

Even with the inevitability of losing Xander, I jave felt like I'm in a good place. Losing Xander, well, It's just what happens when you keep chickens over a long period of time. Now that I realize he's 4 years old, somehow that makes it easier. I don't like losing them really young like Mary. Xander's had a blessed life of big women and nice accomodations and zero health issues. Not much more a chicken can ask.

The electric is all hooked up to the coop, and the fans are all in. The spigots are in place, but not hooked into the main water pipe yet, nor is the main pipe connected to the water yet. The main pipe is connected, and laying in the yard. We are waiting for a neighbor to bring his trencher, then we will lay, and bury the main line, and connect it all up. Not much longer!!!!

I got my stitches out today. YAY!

Awesome!

Oh, if you have not watched Master Chef Junior, you really ought to. Even if you don't like Gordon Ramsay, he's seriously a different person around the kids. And so great with them! Plus, watching a 9 year old create a high-end dish is amazing! It starts a new season tonight. It's our favorite of all his series he does.

I hope not. I sort of doubt that would be entirely true. But, it's fun watching little kids make these complicated dishes.

You are right about that! He takes no guff. I find it odd that kids can cook scallops on Master Chef Junior better than the adults on all his other competition shows, LOL.

I like Master Chef Junior. Yes, it's amazing what the kids can do.

It is a lot of pressure, though. I like how they try to temper their commentary to the kids so they get constructive criticism and are encouraged at the same time. They do that WAY less with the adults, but the adults act more like kids than the kids do sometimes!
