BTW, it is NOT illegal to sell your birds to NPIP folks. The new owners would have to have them tested again anyway, if they are so inclined.

Thanks for sharing the mandala pattern, I was going to ask. maybe one day I’ll have time to try it! For now I don’t even have time or energy to even get my mountain of clean laundry put away. Been busy cleaning and painting our downstairs laundry room to move our laundry down there. I love having a main floor laundry, but the basement room is much bigger, which I need lol. We are also getting ready to remodel our kitchen and the main laundry is going to become a pantry and mudroom. Good thing we have a kitchen downstairs to use when we start that (previous owners rented out the basement).

I’m glad they shut that thread down. I only read a little but that guy was rediculous. Some people think they are right about everything and are hell bent on being nasty to anyone who doesn’t agree. I hate internet bullies.

On a FB group I’m on for large families I posted a pic after Halloween of my family room that looked like a candy tornado had hit. Most ladies were saying they had the same thing after the holiday. But one lady was extremely rude about it, saying if her house was that messy she wouldn’t be on FB. I let her know I got on while eating or nursing the baby, and by that time I’d gotten the whole place clean anyway. She kept going on about how I should be ashamed and that it had obviously been piling up a long time (not true, my kids can trash a room in minutes lol) and her kids would never live in that kind of unsafe mess. Unsafe! She seriously thought because I had wrappers on the floor my home was unsafe for children. Then she had the audacity to copy my picture to post on another group to make fun of me because she thought they’d agree with her. That backfired and they told her she was a terrible person. She ended up banned from both groups lol.

And they all did have them tested along with their own, all clean. Whatever happened later was not on me, if things changed, of course, but I never claimed to that rude man to know all the ins and outs of NPIP. My slant was that I felt it was not going to "prevent" disease and actually, because it lends a false sense of security to folks who expect more of the program than it can deliver, it can be a culprit in spreading disease, as in the ILT cases. As far as I could tell, he was coming close to saying that if you ever sold a bird, you must be in the program. Bull-hockey! He just would not quit, but that seems to be his M.O., according to other folks.

Geez, my house is probably not to her standards and I don't even have one child at home. I spend most of my time with my chickens or making things or on here talking to you nice people. There is dust on everything in summer because doors and windows are all open and I live in the woods. There is dust on everything in the winter because we heat with wood. No white gloves in this house! Of course, if I had eight kids, I'd have a slave labor force, haha! But, I seriously can't believe folks. Even if she thought that, why would someone actually say it to you? How rude!

Even if you don't remember this show, I still use her line all the time, LOL.

My house is a disaster zone. Nuff said. I have too many things that I HAVE to do to worry about messy. Messy and unclean are not the same.

I clean every day, it's still messy looking to me around here, drives me crazy, but life isn't neat and tidy, if your house is neat and tidy than you aren't living in my opinion.

Thanks! It’s all about priorities. I’ll have plenty of time when they are grown and gone to keep a tidy house. Right now a perfectly clean house is not top of my list.
