The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

The media used to employ people called "proofreaders". That was the human auto correct feature. While auto correct can be very helpful at times, we've all seen a multitude of examples of when it doesn't work properly. It's a far cry from infallible.

Well, that royal child will not have a chance to be thrown from the throne because he's too far down anyway, haha. Aside from that, I really don't get royal watchers all that much. I mean, we left England for good reason. We don't need or want a king so why the intense fascination? I guess it's the same as Hollywood fanatics, who knows? Don't they know that being famous on BYC is the be-all, end-all of life? :lau

Wellll.......

SOME personalities that are "famous on BYC" sure have caused a lot of trouble.....

You are not referring to moi, are you? Say it ain't so!

Just got back from the long trek into the depths of Hades (the city) to get my military ID renewed and found my big mailbox laying on the ground when we got home. No mail, so it wasn't the mailman. Already, the pull tab was bent completely upward, now the box was ripped off the post. This is a tad suspicious to me. I told DH we have to move it up to our own street at our driveway, but like every other thing these days, he agrees and it doesn't happen. Maybe now, he'll get on it.

Yesterday, I got the coop sprayed, and all the chickens dusted. Now comes the part where I sometimes fall down, and that is follow up. I have got to re-do it next Thursday, to get all the nits, etc. The last time it was time to re-do, I got rained out for 3 days. I hate when that happens. Not the rain part, but the timing on the rain.

Garden is all set up. Not a lot we can plant this late in the year here, but there are a few things we managed to get in. We will aim for a good fall garden.

Hello! I've just skimmed through your thread while home sick from work and wanted to thank you for sharing your stories about your chickens. You have a lovely way with words and it helped pass the time when I wasn't up for doing something more productive. I hope all those chicks are doing well!
Welcome to the thread! I wasn't notified about the new posts for some reason, not even in my alerts, very odd. The chicks are all doing great, more hatching today in fact!

We did a lot on the garden yesterday, getting pics soon. I need to dust my birds, too. I did dust Brandy to make sure there were no mites on her new chicks, not something I've ever seen here, but don't want to experience, either.
